35,000 students marched from Central Station to Place du Luxembourg in Brussels today, up from 3,000 participants just two weeks ago. 10,000 German students skipped school for climate action, and in other cities and towns across the world, strikers continued to hold their ground with a handful of supporters, or in many cases, in spite of remaining physically alone in their strike. Holly Gillibrand lives in a small town outside of Fort William, Scotland, in the remote, mountainous Scottish Highlands, which should be filled with ancient natural forests, badgers, red deer, wildcats, wolves and other wildlife. Gillibrand, who is a young ambassador for Scotland: The Big Picture and a campaigner for animal welfare charity OneKind, has been interested in animals and conservation since she can remember.
